ALS Services & Products
ALSTECHEDU is a niche company filling a gap in the market for Japanese businesses, scientists and engineers aiming to be active in the international community. Beginning in 2007, ALS focused on culture for businesses, consulting and teaching, and deep research into what we have coined Sacred Images of Reality. By 2010, ALS TECHNOLOGY had started our seminar programs for engineering departments at universities and several campuses of the National Institute of Technology throughout Japan. In 2018, ALS incorporated in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada and continues to offer services and products in two categories: ALS TECHNOLOGY and ALS CULTURE. See below for more. In 2025, we launched our Mythostrategies consulting service for North American businesses that wish to explore a deeper understanding of cross-cultural business communication in the Asia region, especially Japan.
ALS CULTURE
ALS CULTURE began in 2007 in the southern region of Japan known today as Kagoshima Prefecture. The background of the start of the company was set in research then underway into the nature gods of the region. This research culminated in the books (English) and films (Japanese) available on this site and in broader distribution.
ALS Culture is also niche oriented, filling a gap in the market for internationally minded people who see that deep understanding of culture includes a fundamental comprehension of the image the people have of their lived reality. It is our strong belief that one must endeavor to fully comprehend what we call Sacred Images of Reality prior to attempting to do business in any country. ALS provides the service necessary for this to become a reality.
SERVICES: ALS CULTURE provides consulting service for Japanese companies targeting the North American market. The benefit of our service is twofold: First, our Japanese business expert, Yanagita Takayuki, helps formulate the necessary questions and goals for a Japanese company. Then, second, ALS prepares a targeted seminar to prepare representatives for meetings with a North American team. A similar service is available for North American businesses through our new Mythostrategies approach.
PRODUCTS: The Sacred Images of Japan book series has not been written to target specific business needs. However, the three books in the series, supported by videos expanding on the themes, provide an English speaking audience in depth understanding of an ancient, and still relevant image of the Japanese people and their place in Japan.
The three-book series will be published in October on Kindle and other options, including hardcopy form. A discount is available for those ordering the first book in the series, The Gods Beyond the Border, which is currently available on this website.
ALS TECHNOLOGY began in Japan as an extension of consulting work pioneered in the cross-culture business sector. In 2010, ALS was asked by Dr. Obara, then head of the Engineering Department at Kagoshima National University, to design and teach intensive seminars for graduate students and faculty, finally including courses for undergraduates. The next year, ALS expanded operations to include an intensive seminar for graduate students at Kumamoto National Institute of Technology (KNIT). Over the years, ALS has expanded its reach from Kagoshima and Yatsushiro NIT's in the south to Toyama NIT in the north. From 2018 to 2019, ALS further expanded its National Institute of Technology seminar programs to all 54 nationwide campuses in the form of a work-study program in Vancouver, Canada, though this program was eliminated in 2020 by the COVID lockdowns on travel. ALS TECHNOLOGY continues to offer intensive seminars for business and academics intending on becoming active even, or especially, in a changing international world.
SERVICES: ALS intensive seminar programs are designed for business and academic professionals, especially those involved in both spheres, aiming to be active in the international community. For more information, contact sales@alstechedu.com.
PRODUCTS: ALS textbooks are designed to target specific needs, and are not intended for a general audience. That being said, specific textbooks for designated purposes can quickly be prepared. Please contact us at sales@alstechedu.com for further information. The textbooks are being revised for an October 1, 2025 release on Kindle and other options. A discount is available to those preordering a textbook on this website.
